Vegamar collected nine awards in two competitions in the UK

  • Success for landing in the British Isles of the wines of Alto Turia
  • The 2015 Vegamar Selección Syrah and the wines with barrel, the best rated.

premios-reino-unidoIn recent days the doors of the British market have opened up a little more so for Bodegas Vegamar, as results of the last two contests are released. The International Wine Challenge and Decanter, where the winery from Calles received nine medals in total.

At Decanter, which are the main British reference for generic recommendations for the general public, have been five awards, highlighting the 2015 Vegamar Garnacha Selección, awarded with a silver.

In the International Wine Challenge were four awards, with silver for Vegamar Selección Syrah harvest of 2015. This wine also won a medal in the Decanter.

With bronze medals have become the 2014 red Esencia, also in two competitions, and 2013 and 2014 Vegamar Crianza, also 2014 Reserva, both stay in French oak barrels. This last Reserva is made from a blend of cabernet, syrah and merlot, much to the taste of the English market, so it is likely to be one of the most popular in the British Isles.

The White Vegamar also won a bronze in the two events.

The UK market is a priority for Vegamar height wines as it seeks a consumer who understands and is open to trying varietals combinations of all kinds, including international coupages varieties and very recognizable with other natives.
