Vegamar White 2014

This week had been published the results of the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon, which gathers for the sixth consecutive year the best white wines from the five continents elaborated mainly with the French variety Sauvignon Blanc, and Vegamar has seen again recognized one of its wines: White Vegamar 2014  with a Silver Medal.

The nearly thousand references in the contest, fifteen Spanish wines had been awarded,  r being Vegamar the only one from Valencia.

The White Vegamar 2014, from DOC Valencia, released a new blend from the hand of the Technical Director, Pablo Ossorio, who decided to prioritize the Alto Turia Sauvignon Blanc with 30% of Muscat, so that the fresh and sharp international variety is wonderfully blended with the most aromatic and sweet native Muscat from the Mediterranean.

This new blend was recently awarded at PROAVA (Valencia) and Mundus Vini (Germany) and it is becoming one of the hits from the cellar in this new era that opened with the 2014 harvest.

The Sauvignon Blanc grown on the property in the Alto Turia, in a small village called Calles is known for its aromatic potential and ability have a longer live than expected for a vintage white wine, with no ageing. This makes it unique, along with the successful contribution of the Muscat making it quite unique, without losing the essence of a DOC Valencia wine in all its glory.
